[Complete] Liebestraum

Fandom: Puella Magi (Mahou Shoujo) Madoka Magica
Character(s): Kyoko, mentions of Sayaka
Rating: K/G
Warnings: Spoilers obviously for at least episode 6.

Notes: I'm BACKKKKKKKKK with a shiny new fandom. Change of writing style as I decide to try my hand at poetry.
Title taken from Lizst's solo piano works "Liebesträume" (German: Dreams of Love; Sing. "Liebestraum")

There's a saying:

"Knowledge is Power",

"Power is Absolute".

Power is a double-edged sword;

it ruptures, tears, maims, isolates.

Father, image steeped in Power--

cannot be erased.

I, imbued with ill-gotten Power

lives, a breathing husk.

Power strengthens, snaps, fixes, connects--

if only your heart is one with your sword--the noble image

of Chivalry.

Through Power I have found what I thought was lost;

for once upon a dream-lit world,

I had love.

Ya know, this is beautiful even without knowing the context. I haven't seen this show, but I've heard good things about it. And you're right, power is absolute, but it can also corrupt absolutely. :D

D'AWW TREE (but I bet you came in here cuz of the German title).

YES YES YES WATCH THIS SHOW. I don't wanna spoil it or anything but it takes off from one specific piece of German literature.

Also, I was thinking to myself "How many times can I write Power without it being overused?"

lololol (it was a very convincing title) I'll look into it, but I have a feeling I know which piece of literature it was. XD

There are ever new and abusive ways to overuse power, but this was not one of them. :D
